Amy Kardel, J.D.
Amy has served since 2016 as Chairwoman of the Board of CompTIA. She is an advocate for technology, but what she really enjoys is helping businesses find practical solutions to help them grow. With 20 years of experience in the IT industry, she continuously explores innovative ways to apply technical expertise to solve business problems. Her legal background helps her find solutions to meet business objectives. She nurtures relationships with partners in the IT channel to continuously improve the services she can deliver.
As the premier IT consulting and services firm in her local region, Clever Ducks services a range of business industries including medical, accounting and finance, legal, local government, wineries and non-profits. Unlike many other smaller companies, Clever Ducks has a focus on the needs of regional business and on larger enterprises.
After traveling the world working for international technology companies and building her expertise in technology consulting, Amy started Clever Ducks with her husband Peter in her hometown San Luis Obispo in 1991. Their vision is to help businesses in San Luis Obispo County be on the forefront of technology and stay competitive in the global market through computer and telecommunication network systems. In order to keep her clients competitive, Amy is diligent in staying current with industry trends and in leading the way in innovative solutions and delivers “trade secrets” directly to her clients.
Amy’s commitment to collaboration frames her desire for those around her to grow and reach their potential. She is also very active nationally in the IT Solution provider space with HTG Peer Groups and as an advisory board member for ConnectWise. She is a Leadership Fellow with the National Association of Corporate Directors. She is a leader in her local business community by serving local technology resources, Rotary and the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce.
