WELCOME TO THE COMPTIA IoT Advisory Council
Driving the Adoption of Internet of Things Solutions
Research confirms the impact that IoT technologies is having not only around digital transformation, but around business as a whole. More than 60% of companies with current IoT initiatives say they are incorporating IoT into existing business processes. Meanwhile, nearly 3 in 4 respondents have a positive view of IoT today. And it’s not just the boardroom—11% of government entities claim to have a formal IoT initiative underway, while 25% report having a pilot project in progress.
The CompTIA IoT Advisory Council (IoTAC) provides vision and guidance in matters relating to the creation, delivery and support of IoT initiatives. Our members share advice, industry expertise and their past experiences to help the association develop educational resources and programs. CompTIA relies on their guidance to develop tools and research that boost awareness and business opportunities in this rapidly evolving field.
What We Do
The CompTIA IoT Advisory Council meets regularly to address relevant industry trends and issues affecting the IoT market. The council continually refines best practice standards to help the industry succeed and profit from market expansion and innovation. The IoTAC collaborates with CompTIA’s other Industry Advisory Councils including Business Applications, Blockchain, Drone and IT Channel, more than 100 executives providing thought leadership and industry guidance. Additionally, a representative from the IoTAC will sit on CompTIA’s Advocacy Council on Policy (CACP), working to brief CompTIA’s team on Capitol Hill and stay informed on CompTIA’s policy efforts.
Advisory Council membership is by invitation only, however if you know a knowledgeable, respected, industry professional, you can nominate them by emailing Annette Taber, Vice President, Industry Outreach. Please include candidates Linkedin profile and company URL.
